Special assignments

December 13th, 2012 at 03:21 am

Just found out that year end bonus is heavily dependent on special assignments performed throughout the year, on top of regular workload.

The problem is I can't differentiate between regular and special assignments. Everything my boss had asked me to do is within the scope of my job and my ability. On top of that, my workload get re-balanced once in a while resulting in my taking on new responsibilities and letting go of some old ones. What is once considered not part of my daily work is now part of it.

I really like it because I get to learn new things, but it makes writing this list really difficult now. To me, they're all regular assignments.

Year end adjustments

HR is not particularly happy with me right now after I made so many adjustments to the 401k contribution. Had to bump it up to 30% to keep the AGI at where I wanted it to be.

My work place has both medical and transit FSA and since I'm maxing both of them out next year as well as fully fund the ROTH IRA, I'll have to bring it back down to 10% in the second half of December.
